I would think that "jump seats" would be treacherous in a rear or head-on colission too!

Re: Little Passenger Seats Inc.

Any updates on how this seat has worked out for anybody. What size kids are you hauling, how long are the trips? Have a suburban, but there are times it would be more fun to bring the fj or if the suburban is in the shop...

Thanks to one of the members of this forum, Fusion Cruiser, he told me to check out Little Passenger Seats Inc to test fit a 3rd row seat so they can send it to him.

So I went over there and met Russ, very nice fella. He was more than happy to answer any questions. Because I had tons of them. Here are some of the main ones:

Q. Are the seats removable?
A. Yes, when you don't need the seats to load cargo and such, they are easy to remove.

Q. Whats your favorite color?
A. ?

Q. Are there restraint systems on the seats for the kiddos?
A. The seatbelts are retractable into the back of the seats. The seats are just as safe as the ones that came in the vehicle.

Q. Do you like long walks on the beach?
A. ?

Q. Are the seats matched with the other ones?
A. The FJ's textures, since its new, arent available in the books. We noticed that the FJ's seats have a very tight thread pattern. We will match the patern as close as possible.

So they whip out a huge book with every single vynil, leather, cloth seat surfacing in the industry. They used quickly choose the best matching textures out of the book. It was really close that it was unnoticeable.

Anyway, they crawled under it to measure the chanels where they need to drill the bolts for the base of the seats. The FJ turned out to be 3rd row seat ready

Russ' son (~25-35ish) sat in the back seat. This is noway for adults. The ground is to high, and the cieling is to low. Recommended ages 3-12. But the legroom for the kiddos is more than in the 4runners 3rd row seat.

Anyway, I took some photos with my Nextel i860, probably the dumbest fone carrier on the face of the planet, and I sent the pix day before yesterday from my fone to my email, and I just now recieved one!!! I'll post them up as they get here LOL.

BTW, he also test fitted some side way seats that face each other. I found those much more attractive for the person who needs the cargo area frequently.

And for those of you who are interested in the rear seats, here's their info:

Re: Little Passenger Seats Inc.

Are these things designed to fit booster or carseats?
