I am giving mine a shot tonight. My chosen location for the rear outlet is just above the AC plug in. I popped it out last night and besides the ribs on the back it should work perfectly.
Anyone know if there is constant power to the subwoofer?

Love the locations used in both. I plan to install 2 "Sealink - 12 Volt Receptacles", one in each location described above, running both from the fuse panel. Pictures to follow.

I took a standard spade terminal and trimmed down the width with wire
cutters so it fits into the "incoming" side of the fuse slot and plugged 'er in.
The accessory outlet has an inline fuse, so no need for a second fuse.
There are slight ribs on the back. No problem to cut through with the hole saw. Plenty of room behind there for wiring etc - two could be added no problem. Nice use of the cloan tool BTW
The panel comes off easily - put a screw driver in the top and it just pops out.

Very nice, I don't have the inverter or the sub. I was thinking of adding a 12v in the same panel, was going to tap into the sub harness wiring for power, I think I'll need the sub switch to activate the wire though. I'm interested to see where you run the wires.
I did find constant power in the sub harness last night. I believe it's the white wire with a black stripe. It got dark so I didn't finish the install but that's good news for anyone wanting to add a port in the back without running a wire to the battery (or fuse box).

Nice work, but are you sure it is the white w/black stripe. In the front of the FJ, those were all the ground wires. Also did you need to have the sub button engaged?
