These is no bulb. It is an LED soldered to a printed circuit board. The circuit board is the entire instrument pack. Just had mine apart the other day trying to do the same...

Some people suggest the wheel barrow Idea but I just ended a 3 year lease on a Lexus IS350 with that same dilema. My solution was to take 3 or 4 inch pvc pipe and cap both ends and install a valve on one end and then preasurize the canister to 35 or 40 Lbs with all 4 monitors inside . It took me a few tries but after it was airtight I had the outside of this canister rhino lined and put it in my trunk. The only drawback is if anyone was to see it....It looks like a pipe bomb. I only had to repreasurize the canister one time in 3 years.
