unless you live in a city where navtraffic is supported you dont need it.
now if the interface for the sirius was as nice as the xm interface i would get sirius
my main reason for going Sirius has nothing to do with the display ability of my Eclipse 5435. I went with Sirius for content. Gotta have Big 12 college football and Stern.

Re: In dash nav questions

I have had my FJ Cruiser for one week and really enjoy it but would like a nav system in it. recently I installed the Kenwood/Garmin nav, tuner, DVD, CD, Aux, system in another vehicle and really like it. It reads MP3s would replace the stock radio with 6 CD changer built it.

The Kenwood/Garmin unit does a good job of POI's, routhing, tracking and it is very easy to input a destination and it does speak the street where the next turn is.

I don't know if I really want to remove the stock radio as it looks pretty cool. But where else would a good nav system go?

Re: In dash nav questions

Is anyone installing the nav system in the area that FJ designed for the Garmin (dash above the steering wheel)?
