Does any one mount the camera in the front to get better front-under view when off roading?

I'm in the process of integrating the Eclipse FEC106 - Additional images and video sideview camera to my Navigation unit.

Here is a start and I'll post an update this weekend.

Re: High-mounted rear view camera?

This may be a stupid question but how/what do you use that camera for?

And what kind of brush guard is that?

Thanks to all for posting.

SoonerFJ: Got any pics of your screen with the backup camera engaged?
Not now, but I will after I get off work.

The side view and backup cameras are now integrated on the Navigation unit.

Pictures of the Left & Right side taken from the driver seat.

Captured image by the side view camera.

The reverse/backup camera in action.

The current mounting is too high, suitable for shopping/mall crawling so you can see the shopping carts.

I need to mount it lower so I can see the ground, curb, rocks, etc.

I have a camera mounted under the front bumper looking forward. Being able to see over ledges or exactly where my front tires are being place has allowed me to make lines like this.

If i hadnt had the camera, i would have never been able to keep the tire palcement exactly where i needed it.

Re: High-mounted rear view camera?

I've got mine mounted on my Bandi mount (mounted on a piece of aluminum) below the antenna. It's OK but I'm probably going to move it to the rear bumper.
