basic questions, search didnt help

i have the base fj 6 speaker system..I want to install speakers in the rear pillar and maybe add a sub. I know it is already pre wired. I know I need an adapter from crutchfield. What I dont know is that the base system have the same power as the upgrade(fjammer) system?...Do they both have the same amp or amps? Can I get by without adding an amp? I Actually like the stock system, just want to complete what I didnt get from the factory. I am a complete idiot when it comes to stereo. The search function worked, I looked, but it is still not my friend.

don't know if it has the same power but, it does sound great
when you add the rear speakers and a amp. I installed infinitiy 3 1/2"
speakers and a bazzoka 8" powered amp. all were just plug an play.
You do need to get the rear wiring plugs.

I'm not toally sure but I believe that you could pick up a used factory sub off ebay with the on/off switch and I know the speaker box has the amp built into it. As far as working with the base unit stereo for PnP. I don't see why it would not. Worse case you might have to splice some wires to make it work. There are better people out here that could offer better assistance on this issue. As I have the stock FJammer W/sub and plan on keeping it that way. It sounds good to me.
