horn button for OEM switch slot?

Hi,

I'm looking to install a 2nd horn that I can run to a button in the blank switch spot to the left of the steering wheel. This horn will activate only when I push this button and not when I hit the standard horn on the steering wheel.

The only secondary horn button/switch I've found is this one by Wolo. It does not look like it would fit too well in the OEM lot.

Is there one out there that is a better fit? thanks

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

I assume you are looking for something that is an exact fit. i don't know of anything other then some marine products. Some marine horn switches look like some of the switches other forum members have used for aux. lights.

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

thanks, I'll look into that.

I don't need an exact fit, but something that I could at least doctor up a bit to fit in that slot.

A giant round button like the one shown in the link would not look very good.

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

on second thought, hook one up to the driver side grab handle near the head. So when you pull down on it the horn activates, Big Rig style! That would be dope.

Requires very minimal filling to fit, the stock location has some tabs that need to be removed.

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

dude, I really like the big rig idea. that's hilarious. if these horns I was putting in weren't red plastic I might have mounted them on my roof too.

that switch looks perfect, thank you very much.

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

hey, on that button, do I need to add a switch to the back?

Re: horn button for OEM switch slot?

If you need the switch and the rocker, then you would use the V2D1S00B-AZCAD-100.

The VVAZCAD-100 is just a rocker, for someone who already has the switch.
