what to file on switch to make it fit?

Hey, i just got this switch for my horn. looks great.

now to file it down to make it fit.

should I file the switch? the opening slot? Both? whatever works?

what are other people doing?

The opening slot has grooves inside. A file or dremel tool makes quick work of them.

File the slot. Don't file the switch. Just go slow, and eventually it will fit.

yea, that obviously makes a lot more sense.

anyone glue it in there or just make sure it's a tight enough fit that it sticks?

You won't need to glue it. (unless you NEVER want to take it out)
The little tabs on the switch will hold it in there snugly.

I have added quite a few switches to my center console and also on the left of the dash. It is very easy to cut away the plastic from the rear of the slot with a utility knife rather than filing or using a dremel.
