Is there a cable that you can buy that charges and plays audio through the I touch for the car?? I have my GPS on the lighter charging and the i touch on the aux to headphone out. I would like to charge my i touch too without having all these lighter splitter in my truck.

Re: audio and charger cable i touch???

I was looking at the Apple store, and there's two products in particular that might be what you are looking for. Personally, I use a Griffin TuneFlex Aux that plugs into both the cig lighter and the aux port, and then the iPod sits in a cradle (via dock connector) that charges the iPod while it plays. It worked awesome, and kept both cupholders free.

However, being a iPod Touch, it might not be the best to use, since you can't really reach down and feel the controls to skip songs, etc. So, then there's product No. 2... Griffin Auto Pilot. It also plugs into both the cig lighter and the aux port. It also charges the iPod while it plays. It doesn't have a dock, so you will have to set the iPod down somewhere. However, what it does have, is controls on the front of the lighter plug so you can pause and skip songs on that dial without having to look at the iPod. It can be found here:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...A&mco=BBDF89E9

...but you can find it cheaper if you shop around.

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to find a cable like this with a power "pass through" as well. You'll need a small 2 to 1 lighter splitter, but some of them aren't that obnoxious.

Hope this helps.

USA SPEC. Connects directly to the FJammer and gives you control via the FJammer.

Does it connect directly if you have XM installed? I thought it required use of the same port on the back of the head unit.

Re: audio and charger cable i touch???

Is it the factory XM? I don't think it is because you access it via the DISC button. The iPod just shows up as a CD Changer. The SAT function is accessed via the SAT-AM button, right? I am not an expert, though.

I hooked up the same unit on my wife's Sienna that had a rear seat entertain system (RSE) so I unplugged that from the HU, attched it to the USA SPEC Unit and hooked up the unit again. I have access to both the RSE and the iPod by pressing the DISC button to cycle through each. It would be the same with the FJammer.

Yes, mine is the factory XM in the 6-CD unit. The XM head unit plugs into the back of the FJammer, using, I presume, the port that would otherwise be available for iPod connectors.

Re: audio and charger cable i touch???

It should work. You would just need to plug the XM unit into the USA SPEC box. One of the vendors here sells them. You can check with them. I wouldn't be much help with that since I don't have an XM unit, but I really do not see how that would be any different than my wife's Sienna where I pugged the RSE into the USA SPEC and it still worked.
