Thanks for your comments. He is wrapping up the spare wire where I can easily get at it, so I should be able to ground the wire without any problems. I thought it was just that simple. I was surprised when he said it had to be a voltage pluse. Never heard that before

yep, just connect the green wire to the black ground wire, you won't have a problem. Although, watching a movie while driving can be very distracting, but stuck in rush hour traffic, it makes life a bit better.

Just a quick update.
I installed my Kenwood 5120 to the FJ, following all of your advice and everything is up and running. I installed the Swijack too. Thanks to all.
