Re: Additional power outlets & power for GPS?

I was going to run a fused 6 or 8 gauge power wire from the battery and place one plug near the front (probably hidden) for the S50 Sirius receiver, one in the back of the console for the phone charger and maybe one in the rear across from the 110 V plug for other accessories.

Will use a spliter block under the dash to seperate into the 3-4 feeds and fuse each one at the plug as well (based upon power loads). Will use the electrical manual to find the nearest factory factory ground point.

I will probably do this when I install the amp for, and replace the 6x9 door speakers. Just bought Two Rockford Fosgate - Type RF X1.A - 250 watt amps on uBid for a ridiculously low price. I will wire for the sub amp but will be waiting for the JL Audio Stealthbox before I install the Sub Amp. I am shooting for the 4th of July weekend.

Re: Additional power outlets & power for GPS?

I installed a 3 port cig lighter from Radio Shack... can hardwire it but I was too lazy... I put it in the center console (under your elbow while sitting in the front seat) and works great... I will hardwire it later on so I will then have 4 ports. I run CB, cell charger, sat radio and sometimes a Ipod. Yes I am a total nerdo for sure! I also want to get a GPS so then I may need more hahah shoot!
