I know there is a sticky here for DICE to FJammer. Also, as I try to look through history, all old ipod docking threads are not working (probably due to new interface of forums).
Googling doesn't give me all the info I am looking for.
I have the base, plain 'ol cd player stereo in my FJ.
What direct connect ipod devices have you all installed into your trucks, and to what stereos?
I have the Pioneer avh P6800. It connects my ipod through the CD-IB100 ipod interface. The cable was run into the top dash panel to hide the ipod itself.
Dice to factory Fjammer. Works flawless. sounds great.
For the price of DICE you could get an aftermarket headunit and a direct ipod interface cable for a little more money which will sound better if you get a decent head unit as you will have more watts.

My 4Runner came with a very basic stereo but Toyota uses a two DIN spacing format and the same cables and plugs for all stereos. I bought a Scion pullout radio on EBay ($50) that is equivilent to the FJammer. Mine is made by Pioneer.
It plugs directly into the iPod and then into the back of the radio. It charges the iPod and all functions can be controlled from the radio with full text display. The guy seems to build a new batch on a regular basis and then throw them on EBay for sale. (I have no affiliation with whoever it is)
From the EBay Listing
Scion – Apple iPod Interface cable - SC12235
* If you are installing the ipod compatible Scion head unit in a 2005 Scion or another Toyota model, and / or don’t have the other three cables, this is the cheapest way to go.
* This cable will allow complete control of the Ipod from the Scion head unit: song selection, song name, artist, play list, as the head unit was originally designed to do.
* Charges the ipod when the ignition is on.
* This cable connects the iPod compatible Scion Head unit (T 1806)) and the 2008 models (T 1808 and T 1809), directly to the ipod.
* There are no other wires required..
* One end of the cable is connected to the rear of the head unit, and the other connector end is plugged directly into the ipod.
* Cable is 6 feet long, and can be routed to many locations (consoles, glove boxes, ect.) where the ipod can be left hooked up, but out of the way.
* Part number SC12235
*
Does the base unit have an AUX jack on the front of the console down low by the 12V outlet?

Yeah, I have one. That is where the ipod is plugged in now.
However, it doesn't charge, it is impossible to read especially when I am looking down at the ipod and not the road, andit isn't very clean.
Integrated hopefully has better sound. Also, the ipod stays in the glovebox, out of the way, and the nice big display on stereo is much easier to read. Oh, and it stays charged.
I was surfing around Amazon Sunday, and I came across a link for USA Spec PA12-TOY. They show a used unit for $114 from ShipSound. Here is the link. (near the bottom) In the comments (and after ordering mine, all info is still there) it states "Comments: This is the most current model: PA15-TOY. Packaging has been opened. Product is NEW, unused. 30-DAY FULL REFUND GUARANTEE".
Well, I gave it a shot. Sure enough, it showed up today (Tuesday) in complete packaging with all the wires and instructions, etc, AND it IS a PA15... I installed it in less than 30 minutes. SO EASY, one phillips screw drive and a 10mm socket tool.
Everything works, CD, Ipod with Text display on radio, even the Aux port is still usefull. And now my shift boot area is completely clean. This was WELL WORTH IT.
If anyone is considering this I suggest you try the Amazon link too. I am guessing they must have a couple of these "open box" units. And $114 beats the heck out of $159.

They actually set you a PA15 and not a PA12?
