XM vs SIRIUS

I've had SIRIUS for past 3 years, I have enjoyed it but now I'm looking at purchasing the factory install for xm or SIRIUS. Would like to be able to use the sat button on the fjammer. what do people enjoy more?. I chose SIRIUS because I jumped on the Howard band wagon, but I'm kinda of tired of him now.

I like the XM's channels, but be aware of it's recent cutomer service...it sucks.

Re: XM vs SIRIUS

SIRIUS is better, better music, better talk shows+ they have Bubba the Love Sponge. I'm with FJ LE on XM's customer service, it's horrible!

Re: XM vs SIRIUS

I prefer Sirius...I love their music like OCTANE and HARDATTACK...I like Howard Sterns two channels...also love their PATRIOT Talk Radio and NFL Channel. Was easy choice for me plus I was able to suspend subscription while I waited for the Sirius adapter to arrive and then activate it in 5 minutes after picking my FJ back up from dealer. Not had a bad experience with Sirius and been member since 2006.

Re: XM vs SIRIUS

had both, personal preference is XM. Just like the music better on XM, but it all depends on what you like. Aren't they merging anyways? wonder if all the channels will be consolidated?

Good luck, Mike

They will be merging soon. From what I understand, pretty much all the channels will still exist. You can choose to go with XM or Sirius programming for the same price, choose your favorite channels from each for a la carte pricing, or all of both for what will probably be fairly high pricing. If the guv'ment would just pass the merger through the last bit of formality, this can happen and this debate will fall by the way side.

Until then though, I'll have to be in the minority and say that I prefer XM. This is mainly due to the fact that I am a big MLB and SEC sports fan, now exclusively on XM. I like the music channels as well. Now, if Kenwood would EVER come out with the KCA-XM100V adapter that I need to hook XM up to my new radio, I'll be ok.

Re: XM vs SIRIUS

Went Sirius for the one time Life Time payment.
Had it for 3.5 years now.

But would like the XM traffic for my Navi.
