new garmin 60cx

Hello, just bought myself the Garmin 60cx, I see it comes with a base map and I'm looking to upgrade the mapping system. I'm looking at the Topo maps and streets and maps there like 150 bucks.. my question is has anyone ever got these maps on like Torents? or other file sharing programs.

The maps are 'locked' to your specific GPS, so it's unlikely you'll find a liberated version.

I've been making custom maps for Colorado for the last few months. It's quite technical, but is very possible and very rewarding. The instructions are for US data, so you're mileage may vary for Canada stuff, but I bet you can get it done.

Thanks Shane will try to make some great info. Northern check canadian tires it goes on sale often got the street one for 60$.
