XM Radio Setup.

I have the FJ Jammer and I can't get the XM ID number. I push on the AM/SAT buton but all I get is the AM radio selected. Anyone else have this problem , I think my radio is bad...08 Trail Teams

Re: XM Radio Setup.

check on you window sticker to make sure that you have the XM package installed if not you will have to buy the unit from Toyota to use the factory headunit. I bought mine with the FJammer stereo with XM "ready" meaning that you can run the xm if you purchase it.

It was cheaper for me to purchase a new Navi with XM and have it installed then to have Toyota install the factory unit in my FJ.

It is sat radio "ready". But not equipped. If you want sirius, best buy has a toyota package for about 160 (two different parts, 1 is 100 and the other is 60). If you want XM, terk offers a kit that i have seen many people using. The toyota kit from the dealer is WAY over priced. I got mine used from a member for cheap (sirius).
