Exclamation Light installation help PLEASE!!!

Hello everyone, i just bought 4 PIAA 540's and the All Pro Airdam. I know what im going to do regarding wiring through the roof and installation of the airdam, But what i have no clue on is wiring the actual lights to the power scource. In the directions it says to connect it VIA battery, but from what i have heard, that only causes problems. Is there any possible way where you can install it through the fuse panel??... please give me any input on this, i greatly appreciate it.

The only problem with running your power directly from the battery is if you forget to turn your lights off, otherwise I prefer it that way but you can go either route. There are tons of write ups on this subject, you just need to do some searching. I prefer a separate fuse box for all mods such as Shadow Warrior and LandCruiserSteve has written up here. It seems a lot of trouble at the beginning but you will be happy you took the extra time when you add more electrical components later. You can only hook up so many switches to the OEM fuse box before it becomes a jungle.

Read through these threads. The first one concerns key on power derived from the in cabin fuse box.

Re: Light installation help PLEASE!!!

You want the main power and ground to the lights to run straight to the battery. THe harness you got with your lights also has a relay with it, to fire the relay you can run power from an ignition source, through a switch to the relay. This will only allow the lights to go on when the vehicle is running.

take a look here

As stated above, but here is a pic of the fuse slot you can use for the switch power, it is connected to the lights.
