Hooking up alarm, does FJ have immobilizer?

I'm installing a Viper 5900 - Is the FJ factory equipped with a key chip type immobilizer?

I am not sure how it works but there is an immobilizer on the FJ Cruiser..whether a chip or part of remote keyless system. Mine has a sticker on front window down low and the red light flashes on dash when locked with keyless remote.

Up here in Canada it is a law that the '08 have an immobilizer system, and this is confirmed in the FJ brochure, but i am not sure about the US models.

Thanks, fellas. I should've searched a little more and I would have found it. Looks like all 08's have the immobilizer.

I'm going to try and hook it up without the remote start capability for now.
