Re: My atempt at a stealth install: 07 FJ

all i see from him is blah blah blah with nothing other than attitude to come back at things. he beats around the bush instead of offering anything of substance.

damping factor is the amplifiers ability to control a speaker. how is that not important. it is also somewhat of a headroom measurement, but i wont get into that since it will only be batted down as a marketing from companies. what it seems like to me is when you cant disagree with something, you just claim it is a marketing scam. since he liked my hp and torque analogy so much, i guess that all major car companies are throwing useless gimmicks at us with any specs they advertise.

Re: My atempt at a stealth install: 07 FJ

Updated.

It was time to seal up the door. The FJ has huge openings. Just covering them up with deadening didn't do it and my previous attempt with bondoglass didnt work well either. So it was time to bust out some F\G.

After a few more layers of F\G and some clay in between the F\G and the metal.

Went a little elcheepo on the deadening, I ran out however the interior of the door has 2 layers on the outer door and the inter interior part of the door.

Some roxal home insolation to help deaden rattles and contact between the plastic door peice and the door itself.

Egg crate foam behind the driver.

Made some dash pods and didn't like their look so sanded them down again to try and get the look and extra volume I wanted.

So still in progress.
