FJ Aux light and offroad light switch question

If I get the switches for the Aux lisghts and the Offroad lights do they use the same pigtali as sold by Sparks Toyota? If so will they work with non-OEM lights, how hard would it be to make them work with non-OEM lights?

switches are switches, usually a 3 post switch. Some harneses are plug and play and others you must run wires and relays as well as a fusable link. It's not as difficut as it sounds if you are with someone who knows what they are doing and have a couple extra hands to pull wires and wrap n ziptie.

I can't claim to know too much about wiring. I have done it a few times, once almost cautgh the truck on fire, not the FJ. I think some of the wiring diagrams I have will help. I also bought all the lights in packages with relays, switches and wires. I just want the clean factory look of factory switches so I am hoping running the switches and pigtails from toyota will work. My biggest question is will the factory pigtail connector connect to both types of switch, offroad light switch and Aux light switch? if so I think everything past that is easier and i sould be able to do it.

If you go with the factory switch the easiest way is to purchase the pigtail with the plug that matches the switch and then just splice the harness that came with your lights into that pigtail.

There are many switches out there that look great and "almost factory" and at a great deal less $ than the factory switches. Check out the thread below for several different switch options.

Which is the root of my question. Does the pigtail sold at Sparks Toyota site match with both types of switches. There is an offraod light switch and an aux switch, but only one pigtail to buy. Does it match both types of switch?

I cant tell you for sure, but my thought is that both switches are the same except for the graphic on the switch itself. They both do the same function so logically I would think they are the same internally, call sparks and ask them if the pigtail fit both.
