AUX mini plug question

i am running my Sirius Sportster4 through the aux post with a mini plug, sounds ok, but can i boost the level in the aux port ? i have the volume all the up on the sirius unit, and it is way softer than the cd, fm etc. i am thnking of grabbing an amp for the enitre fjammer, and see how that sounds. short of replacing the entire head unit and speakers (no $$$ for that yet).
thanks in advance
Rob

Re: AUX mini plug question

i believe you have to turn the volume up on the device itself, should help.

Re: AUX mini plug question

Do a search for Ipod and aux input; there is a thread with an inline booster.

Re: AUX mini plug question

Something ain't right.

I'd get the AUX input looked at.

I get strong signal for anything I plug into mine--whether it's a SIRIUS receiver or an iPod.

when we first hooked up our mp3 player we were only getting one side and very low volume,, the belkin cable wouldn't work right, got a cheapie one from radio shack, that solved the volume/balance problem, the stereo part on the belkin was not getting through, try a cheap connector? hope you find the problem.

Re: AUX mini plug question

Make sure the Auxillary cable you are using has two black lines wrapping around the Jack horizontally. This is made for stereo. If the jack has one line, it's mono. Meaning the only speakers that will work will be either the two dash speakers or the two door speaker.
