OK here is the deal on the CD with the iPod option. Yes the all CD functions are still their. When you press the CD/AUX button you now press it 3 times to get around the horn rather than two times like befor where as you toggel between CD or AUX. Now it goes CD, CD1, AUX and then starts over. So that is cool. As far as the back of the Fjammer it only had one unused connector port and the other port on the iPod cable was it male partner. So I just shoved my Male into the Female and could only make it work on the CD input. I pressed the SAT button but could not get the SAT to come on the screen of the radio. So it must be something on how the XM talks to the radio. One other tip. Remove the radio fuse for 30 seconds to have the radio reset. I had to do this for the CD1 function to come about. Other than that I am still learning what the Dice Electronics device will do.
Sounds good to me; as long as I have the same functionality, I could care less what port it is using. This is actually better in that it allows for a Sat connection as well. The functionality seems to be exactly what I had with the Neo Ion I used in my Acura. Too bad about the text though; would have been a nice addition.
If you have a sec, I was wondering if I could ask a few quick questions:
Is there a noticeable pause between when you turn the stereo on and the iPod kicking in?
When you turn the car off, does the iPod stop and go into sleep mode?
When you turn it back on, does it continue where you left off.

Ipod turns off with key removed from ignition but does not charge but is in sleep mode as far as I can tell. With stereo on iPod is in charge.
The iPod resumes play from where it left
Thanks man - appreciate all of your help.
Looking forward to installing this thing tomorrow - of course I buy this thing after cutting all of my iTunes play lists on to CDs
Last question (I promise); you mentioned the cord is about 2' long and that you have it set up so the iPod stays in the glove box - was that much trouble or pretty simple with the stereo being out and all.

When the radio is out of the dash run the wire then. With the radio out you will see a section just infront of the metal frame that makes up the sub frame of the dash. Push it through their. Drop the glove box down but do not remove it, no need to. Reach in their with your other hand and grab the cable. I did not drill a hole no need to. There is enough room to just let the cable sit over the back side of the glove box. Their is enough cable if you want to sit it back in the cup holder if you want. Running the cable only took a minuet. No big deal. I did test everything the best I could with the stereo out of the dash. Last thing I wanted to happen was get it all back together, turn it on, and it not work.
