Hay I got an idea. If you are really worried about it you could just rig your airbag deployment squib to jettison or destroy the Engine ECU on impact. LOL!! Let the insurance companies figure that one out.

Or just carry a hammer to beat the engine ECU with if you have an accident you are worried about.
