Pioneer AVIC D2

Would love to get some feedback from D2 owners. Does anyone have the best iPod/D2 connection recommendation?

Re: Pioneer AVIC D2

I have a D1 with the software upgraded so it identical to the D2

The software is completely terrible for I-pod integration. It is so bad I just hooked up the aux port to the AVIC and run my I pod through that.

Seriously, don't waste your money

Re: Pioneer AVIC D2

There are other direct connection options such as from Soundgate that plug into the back of the D2 and allow you to use the iPod scroll wheel and charge the iPod. Has anyone tried these with a Pioneer?
