Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions

Another question! (not sure why I'm asking, mine comes tomorrow )
The iPod turns off/pauses when the ignition/headunit power is off right?

FMU it should. The dock connector allows the iPod to sense when the main power is on/off. When you shut your car off and the radio turns off, it should turn off the ipod, or pause it at a minimum. This is similar to pulling out the headphone jack and the iPod automatically pauses.

Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions

Yes indeed it does.
Also when you hit aux, am, fm2, fm2, your song will be put on pause.
Hit cd1 again for the ipod, and it picks up where it left off.

If you take your iPod in at night, and then plug it back into the DICE unit the next morning, it picks up where it left off after a few screens flash by on the iPod.

However if you hook the iPod to your PC to add more tunes to it, when hooking back to the DICE unit it will start from the very first playlist numericaly.

I've only got mine to auto pause twice since I've owned it. Haven't figured out the combination. I usually have to pause it myself after I've turned off the FJ

Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions

If using the aux port, ya gotta rip out the stereo cable to pause the unit, then after so many minutes it will shut off.

Turn the iPod back on and it will pick up where it left off and start to play whether the cable is in or not.

You will like the DICE, it is all hands off.
I even do my playlists from the head unit and do not touch the iPod until I bring it in for the night.

Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions

Hey, so, what's the scoop? Do all the units coming from Dice now have the FJ-Friendly firmware? Anyone specific I should talk to there to make sure I get the gold?

Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions

Talk to Jessie there.
Yes, they are fixed now, but I would order directly from them.
