Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions
I'm very bummed updated my itunes/ipod, unplugged everything and redid the whole install. I have no controls through my head unit or steering wheel. The title no longer plays as well. I check and recheck all my connections, everything's tight The unit ends in 06, so it's supposed to be a good unit Calling them tomorrow morning...
Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions
I had various problems where I couldn't control the iPod at all, the controls increased volume instead of moving tracks/playlists, non-operation, etc. Also, there's no text. I have '06, latest f/w, reset the iPod, powered down the head unit, etc. They're getting a call from me.
I've left my dash apart cause I don't want to start over...

Re: iPod connected directly to FJ Jammer - Installation Instructions
FYI
1. It says on the bottom of my unit DL1007.
It is dark out now, I will check again later to see if there is another # on it.
2. As mentioned here earlier, do not stuff the DICE unit in behind the head unit.
Run the cable into the glove box and store the DICE in there so you do not have to pull your dash apart again.
3. My dip switches are all in the upper position.
My DICE unit is working as they state by using the buttons on the FJammer to selct next playlist, album, ect.
Try setting your dips all up like mine and see if this helps.

Ok. I tried it with all of the switches in the up position. The text appears.
Then I turned the unit and the stereo off and waited a minute. Once I powered the stereo back on after about a minute the unit won't recognize the dice adaptor. I unplug then replug the dice adaptor and bingo the unit is running fine. As I mention in my earlier post Dice is sending me a new unit. For those of you that call Dice today I would try the switches in the up position (sorry for the misinformation that I relayed to you via the dice tech) before calling. It may work better but it still doesn't explain why the fjammer "loses" the dice adaptor after you turn off the vehicle. Please keep posting your results. Corey get some sleep

Waiting for a return call from DICE. I tried all 4 combinations. No text. And yes, in btw changing the switches I powered off the DICE to erase the previous settings. Oddly enough, the only change I see is when the both are ON (down). Only then do I see track times, but never any text in any switch position.
UPDATE: 2:30 PM PST. DICE has to send me another unit and I'll try that. Man, this is a bit frustrating, at least DICE is being helpful.
