Re: Fjammer Recall (TSB)...

Why recall it? Who's going to pay $500 to hook it up when for half that you can get a new aftermarket radio AND xm or sirius. Toyota is smoking crack asking $500 plus the radio.

Re: Fjammer Recall (TSB)...

Do you have to have the XM to get this recall
done, or is it simply a matter of calling the dealer
and saying 'I may want XM someday, so please
schedule me for a replacement?'

I'd like to try a different FJAmmer before assuming
that FM reception as bad as mine is universal...
and I may one day want XM.

What do you mean "you may someday want XM???"

When Toyota sold you that vehicle...wasn't it your understanding that any trouble that they may possiby have with the XM radio[b] in it...THAT IT WOULD DAMN WELL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GO OUT AND BUY THAT SUBSCRIPTION SO THAT ANY PART OF SAID DEFECTIVE UNIT....COULD BE (QUOTE/UNQUOTE) FIXED!!!

You're no different than YotaChick earlier today, my friend...just another peon whining customer that doesn't understand "not at all complex" issues and who "by gosh chased TMS USA off this forum...."

Look bright boy...I don't presently have the XM unit installed, but
maybe someday I'll decide to. In that event, since the FJammer has
a latent issue when the XM device is added, I'll have the problem.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?

I think I have the answer, and Jimmy said it best:

My question was meant to be sarcastic, my friend and reflected the one issue you have presently that nobody (including evidently Miss FJ) wants to talk about and now evidently blame other forum members for: (again, keep your mouth shut about this on the forum...we're mere 'peons' here in the big scheme of things).

You are indeed forced to get the "no-turning-back" subscription you want to hold back on above for good reason....and NO you cannot just call your dealer up and ask him to order what both you I and Toyota know is damn well broke without shelling out that extra cash above and beyond what you have done for nothing already.

Sorry for the confusion; yet there are certain people on this forum who could care less as to how Toyota talks down to us or even if they exit stage left when finally called on it.
The XM/Sirus Radio sound quality problem has been fixed by TOYOTA
