Re: Sirius Radio

I was at Toyota of Bowie yesterday and they told me that there is no stop order on Sirius, only XM, and that they can order Sirius them, they're plenty in stock. The very bad Toyota of Waldord is clueluss and says that there is a stop sale on them. I talked to Toyota Customer Service at 1-800-331-4331 and they confirmed there is no stop sale. Toyoto of Waldorf also said the fitkit is defective, I re-called Toyota Sales and they said that was bogus data, the fitkit is not defective.........hope this helps. Lots of conflicting data, and TCS is not all that sharp either, when talking about Toyot Technical Sevice Bullentin AU002-06, the lady at Customer Service said it was only about a plastic panel clip! So you need to go download it so you can read it all and be knowledgable about it before you call them. You also need to use the search feature in the black tool bar and search for XM and Sirius because there is a very long thread that goes into all of this in great detail........cheers.

Re: Sirius Radio

Thanks. My salesman told me the Sirius tuners are backlogged and did not know when they would arrive at the dealership.

Re: Sirius Radio

Just spoke with Toyota customer service, the lady explained to me that there is an issue with the sirius antenna and that there is poor reception with the current tuners. They will not sell any sirius units until this issue is corrected.

Re: Sirius Radio

I guess it just depends on which day you talk to them.......I checked yesterday and the only stop order was with XM radio, not sirius. Toyota of Bowie had them in stock, but I bought my FJ at Waldorf........so who know, the situation is fluid and changes daily, all I know is that I paid for a reciver and have a lifetime subscription. In the meantime I bought a little Siurius One Radio at Circuit City for $35 to get me through until Toyota gets it's act together and it works really well, so that could work for those that have to wait. Also, the IPOD aux works really real. Other than that the FJ rocks...notice the Harley trailer on mine......it works great, just not on the 4 wheeling tours.....:} How do you like yours?

Got mine on Weds. Love it but miss my Sirius radio. I had the trailer hitch installed. Who did your harness wiring?

Re: Sirius Radio

I had the Toyota dealer do the trailer hitch and the harness, I wanted to make sure it was done right, and I didn't want to see my Harley drifting off in the rear view mirror. The Sirius One radio at Circuit City is a good stop gap until Toyota gets their act together, I can't stand terrestrial radio, I have two omnidirectional antennas on my house so that no matter what room I'm in I can listen to Sirius.....so after about a month of waiting for Sirius in my Toyota, I bought the little reciever for the FJ and it works great, and I'll just yank it out when I finally get my in dash unit........what a pain though. My wife has a Solara convertable and her Sirius sounds great so it's hard to believe they mucked this one up so bad.......

Not sure. Purchased the audio wire, from Radio Shack ($4.99), to play my Ipod via the Aux outlet. Sounds great. May be some time before the Sirius issue is fixed. Terrestrial radio is the pits.
