AVN600 iPOD Interface ***Awesome***

For those who are still looking for great iPod interface check out the AVN6600 and the iPod connector I believe the part number is IPC 106

I found that the best for th iPod itself was on the compartment above the steerong wheel, so we ran the connector through there

So where is the iPOD interface? I was assuming that you were talking about the software interface, not hardware!

The Eclipse map screen looks a lot like the screen on the Sequoia factory nav unit (made by JBL). Do they share software?

I guess I named it incorrectly. It is not software. Is just an adaptor I should have called it. I bough it at circuit city for $49.99. you plug it from the back of the unit and run the wire to wherever upi want to. What I like the most is that the same screen that you see on your iPod, you will see on the unit. So basically all you gotta do is plug the iPod and forget about it. You will be only using the unit touch screen.

I do not know about the Sequoia. I know that Lexus uses Eclipse in most of their cars so on Toyota everything is pretty much plug and play

Can you post a few screen shots of the AV6600 head unit when the iPOD is being used?

How did you cut the hole for the cord in the glove box? Can you post a picture?

Looks good...I have been eyeing that unit since it came out a few months ago. I would have one by now, but all these off road upgrades have been giving the credit card a work out. I think my credit card is ready for the Olympics!
