Thumbs up SunFuCru Is Lifted At Last!

Yup, Christmas come early for 'ol Sun Fu. Got my lift as a present from my parents. I went with the OME 885/895 lift from FJ CRUISER OFFROAD, and had it installed there at TOD. It looks incredible! Much better that I could have ever imagined. It feels much sportier now. It doesn't nose dive when braking, or squat back when accelerating. And it doesn't roll in the turns. It firmed-up the overall ride too. I was a bit nervous at first about it being too firm, but all my fears were put to rest when I finally drove it. It handles bumps in the road beautifully. It floats over them, but still gives you some positive feedback. I decided to keep the stock tires for now. I was really nervous that it would look bad, but once I saw it, I thought it looked perfect. It kinda makes the stockers look better. Now all I need is BFG ATs, an ARB bull bar, IPF lights, and the ARB roof rack to complete my vision for it.

I would like to thank Jacque for the great deal on the parts and taking good care of me. And I'd like to thank Jory the Service Manager for taking care of me on the installation. These guys were a real pleasure to deal with. Thanks Jacque, for the stickers and the key chain.

Bandi, I hope these pics help you. I know you were looking for pics of SFs with a lift and stock tires/wheels for your wife.

I got almost the exact same reply over at TTORA.

Once the funds have been replentished.

It takes some getting used to, since it corners so well now. I'm afraid I'm going to flip it if I take a turn too fast. I'm just being paranoid, but I'll get used to it.

Re: SunFuCru Is Lifted At Last!

That turned out nice. Do you know how much lift you got out of it?

Re: SunFuCru Is Lifted At Last!

Very cool!! I still can't understand some people's reluctance to lift their FJ. Looks and handles so much better.
