Re: Noisy springs! Is this normal?
Umm... Will lathering them in triflow help at all? I can't get them replaced just yet... Are they costly little buggers?
This is the worst one...

It is in front of the sway bar bushing... Any name would be helpful.
Also, both UCA bushings are screwed.

What year model is your J ?
Triflo won't hurt, put it that way....
Looks like your steering arm to me, with the castle nut on it
Are the UCA's or LCA's or both ..shot ?
you can replace the bushings on your stock arms, with stock bushings, or go with new arms - after market, LRA, TC, AP, etc....
same with the LCA's except stick with new OE LCA's if you replace them....
Alot of folk seem to have trouble replacing bushes in UCA's and LCa's .... removing the sleeve, and burning out the old rubber seems to be harder than you would think.... many seem get damaged in the process.
quicker n easier to replace the whole units, than trying to replace bushings....
If you go with cheap O'Reilley type LCA's ..they seem to fail in 12 months ...so stay with OE, LCA's.
After Market UCA's ... take your pick.... I like TC's ..but that just me..
Not sure if you can replace the bushing in the steering arm.... you would need to research if its available or if you need to buy a new arm....
Start saving your pennies...
Cheers
