Icon stage 6-7 with 35"s?

Is anyone running an Icon stage 6 or 7 with 35" tires? after you do the body mount chop do you have any rubbing issues? Anyone running this setup or similar please post up pics...
TIA

Re: Icon stage 6-7 with 35"s?

dont have a pic handy but there is one at the end of my build thread (scrufy animal).
I have a stage 6 + the S2 kit and run 315/70/17 MT/Rs.
Yes, it rubbed (still does a little in the back occasionally).
I had to re-chop my body mounts a lot more aggressively, pound down the body seam, and then pound the inner fender in a little.
I guess I could have searched for specific offset wheels but the off the shelf 17x9s that Americas Tire had in stock did pretty good with 1.25 spidertrak adapters(spacers that bolt on). Without the spacers I hit the UCA when close to full lock.
If I had to do it again, I'd probably have gone with 34s but I'm really happy with how it all came out.

Wanna trade? 34's are a good stepping stone for me but I wish I had gone 35's.

Re: Icon stage 6-7 with 35"s?

The stage of ICON, or the specific lift brand at that, really has nothing to do with whether you'll rub with 35s. It's all about lift, and with any 3" lift kit you will rub. You'll need to do BMC, pound in the seam weld, and maybe massage the inner fenders (I did). The wheel backspacing will affect this some. And not every 35" tire is the same actual width and height, so a slightly smaller 35" tire will rub less.

My Build: WHOOP '12
