Grease build-up around inner CV Boot

As the title reads, I found some grease build up around the inner CV boot. I found the diy repair thread on here and went to the local car parts store for some hose clamps and cv grease. It looked like the oem clamp was missing. I went to inspect it further before adding the new clamps and when I cleaned off the grease, I noticed the oem clamp is still on there tight. No rips in the boot either. Also, there isnt grease splattered everywhere just the build up.

What should I do now?

A little grease is ok and pretty normal. Lots of fresh grease is bad. Just keep an eye on it.

It was enough grease for me to not be able to tell there was a clamp on there.
I thought it had came off until I wiped off the grease. Now that I can see the clamp I'll keep an eye on the grease levels and carry clamps and grease with me.

Its an '08 with 140k miles, that build up probably happened over a long period of time.

Same thing happed to mine. I had the factory clamps removed, the CV area cleaned and new OEM bands installed. Leak free since.
