No More Noisy Uniballs!!!

This is a game changer for those of us running uniballs in our UCAs...I am in a snowy weather state and cannot wait to ditch my uniball setup for a set of these!!

Dang, that's awesome. Too bad I just rebuilt my TC's with "regular" uniballs. The main thing is keeping them clean, mine only squeak when dirty.

Just spoke with Scott at icon. He said they're currently available for preorder.

Re: No More Noisy Uniballs!!!

I don't buy it.

What is with the groove on the ball? Looks like a nice way for sh!t to work it's way into the joint.

Show me proof that they will last a winter in the north laden with snow, sand, slush, salt/beet syrup and cold temps and i will buy.

IMO they don't look like they'll last any longer.......they just look cooler.
HERSOG likes this.

All depends on why the groove is there and what's under that cap.

Re: No More Noisy Uniballs!!!

If I were to have a guess, I would say that the groove is there to transport grease throughout the ball joint. You put grease in the top, it gets in the groove and gets worked around the internals as the join moves while you drive. If I am correct (and I might not be), it could end up picking up a lot of dirt and debris from the underside and working that through the joint too. I will be interested to see how it goes.
