Spindle Gusset?

Is bending a spindle a common occurrence? I havent seen many threads with this problem. Does any one manufacture a gusset aside from All-pro that retains the factory sway bar? I know TC doesnt but is there anyone else?

Re: Spindle Gusset?

Well if you Wheel your ring hard it "May/ Could" Happen, I known a few people that this has happened to. And TC and Allpro are the only people that make them, with only Allpro keeping the sway bar, Also word on the street is TC is coming up with a 4x4 aftermarket spindle which I think would loose the sway bar also.

Re: Spindle Gusset?

I've got the AP gussets. I never got around to having them installed on my '07. Now apparently, they have altered the swaybar on the 2010. I'm not sure if they'll be able to fit on the new rig, even though I'll be ditching the swaybar from the get go. If I'm unable to use them, I'll sell you mine, unused, for whatever. I won't know if they will work until the new rig arrives in a couple weeks, or All-Pro can tell you. If you find you that they won't work on the 2010, PM me and I can hook you up.

Re: Spindle Gusset?

If you like bombing down washboard dirt roads you could bend a spindle. Also if your running a Long Travel you are putting stress and exposing your spindles.

If you enjoy easy to moderate 4x4 trails and don't over do it on the speed the stock spindles should last a life time.

Here is a link showing the install of TC Spindle Gussets on my FJC

Re: Spindle Gusset?

Wonder how many of the aftermarket UCA producers produce spindle gussets?

Wonder if their product UCA's "bind", opens up the scene for increased sales!

Just a thought...
