BTW, nothing gets welded in, it's a bolt on, and is actually reversible if you do the installation right. I know several disappointed owners that welded the crossmember back in and uninstalled it.

Well, I guess you could always quit instead of try...

Sometimes it's important to fight for principle instead of simply money.

However, for it to get to that point, one would have exhausted arbitration, and set one's self up for compensatory damages including recovery of accumulated legal fees.

I hear your frustration though...
