They are both very similiar, but the All Pro's have two things that make them 100 times more valuable for my usage.
1. The biggest difference is that the All Pro's have an adjustable resoivoir. "shocks with 12-way adjustable compression dampening"
They both let you adjust the ride height. but this lets you control how cushy the ride is. No tool needed. Just spin the adjustment with your fingers into 12 different presets.
2. They way they compress over bumps. The all pros are soft on smaller bumps and get harder the bigger the impact. That's great for daily driving over speed bumps, etc. It's also great for trail riding.
The donahoes are the opposite. They are hard on the small stuff, and soft on the bigger stuff. They were made for haulin a$$ and taking big hits. Thats not the way I drive.
3. This is minor, but it's a nice bonus. I like the colors of the all pros red and silver vs. the black of the donahoes. Not a deal breaker in my eyes, just a nice bonus.
So now Im set on All Pro's vs. the Donahoes..
I hope that helps other people that were still trying to decide.
If I got something wrong in my analysis, please let me know.

Mines_Stolen Sir...
Congrats on the NEW Suspension, You will luv IT !!!
There is nothing like being able to just change the
dampening at will to adjust the ride for say, a
pot-hole infested commute, or a smooth highway
traveling trip down a long highway, to a rock
crawling cushy feel or pre-running stiffy...
Ya can't beat being able to set the dampening to
what you want, not a general pre-set, and to
adjust the back different than the front is just
plain AWESOME !!!...
I Have had mine on since June/July, and he have
been perfect, not showing any age at all, still nice
red anadize and coated alum finish...
and Oh Yes, I checked the current pricing with the
sale, and NOW IS The TIME-TO-BUY !!!...
I Just NEED To get the skid setup and Bandi Mount
and I will be completly set, that is until a few other
items shake loose over at All-Pro and ya find a
teaser shot here on the FJCrusierForums...
ok, I think that was explained well
I have the hoes, and love them, but I have only run them offroad in the desert so far. On the 18th I get a chance to torture a FJ with the All Pros up in the mountains, at that point I will be able to truly compare the 2.
I will say this, The way you wheel should be the way you decide which set to get. Not everyone does the same style of wheeling and both of these systems are set up different.

That is a good point. Everyone is different and drives different, soo why is everyone so closed minded to anothers opinion on a 6" lift and mainly a street driven FJ vs a mildly lifted FJ with a owner that only wants to rock crawl and thinks there is nothing else.
Get what suits your taste and pocketbook and enjoy the sh1t out of it.

The diameter of of the DR's are 2.5" and the
All-Pro Are 2" with Remote Reservoir... allowing
more fluid capacity in the DR's shock itself...
but the AP's make up for that volumn with the
remote reservoir, plus the RR helps with cooling
by being "remote"... This heat in both sets,
causes the shocks to fade in heavy use, so
cooler is better...
and a big difference, PRICE of the suspension
set... Check up on it...
