Truxxx 3" Lift and Level Kit

I was just up at the dealership and found out that they are running a 'special' for the FJ. It’s the Truxxx 905090 FJ 3" Lift and Level Kit for $549.00 plus $425.00 installed. Per the dealership the kit is a body lift and not a suspension lift. They also said that since it is a body lift it would have no effect on the warranty. With four kids, funds are limited but I can't stand it any longer! I've had the FJ for 4 months now and haven't done anything with it, but I have to jack it... In the somewhat near future I would like to install some nice coilovers ($$$) Has anyone installed a body lift plus a suspension lift? Pro’s/Con’s.

SCREW A BODY LIFT FOR $550!!!

You would be getting ripped! Log on to toyteclifts.com get you their good spring and shocks lift for like $450. Then take it to a local 4x4 shop or even your dealer and get it installed for like 300, OR do it yourself.

Just my .02

EDIT:
OH SNAP!
I just saw that you are in dallas, which dealer is it? By the way for an install, toyotatech1 here on the forum is a toyota mechanic and he will install your lift for 300 at Toyota of Plano, PM him. Also seriously check out toyteclifts.com, and check out my ride via the link in my signature, see what you think, this is the route i went!

Thanks for the input.. It was at Toyota of Grapevine. Thing is I would like a 3" body lift and a 3" supension lift (second is in due time). 6" total lift, I bet I could get some 35" or 37" tires

I don't have the time or the knowledge to do it myself or I would. I am a Router/Switch guy (computer stuff) and have owned many sports cars, first time with a 4wd. So the closest thing I have ever done is change the oil So getting someone to do it is my only option. I will check with toyotatech1.

thank again.
Next mod: .50Cal or TOW on roof rack

Re: Truxxx 3" Lift and Level Kit

Well no one has done a 3" body lift here on the boards. But I would suggest going with the suspension first and then waiting for some more experience to come out for a body lift on this thing...
