Re: Lifts and garage and other clearance

With my 3" Toytec, Nitto 295's and Gobi Stealth rack, I rub my Yakima bike attachments in the downtown Portland parking structures...

Re: Lifts and garage and other clearance

No lift and stock rack, rub my garage and some underground parking garages - have a 3" lift in my garage that should change all that....but not for the better...

If you want some firm numbers...my FJ with stock tires/wheels (265/75/16) and OME kit (885/140 front, 895/n17e rear) measures just under 82" at the highest point of the stock roof rack. This gets me into any 7 foot parking garage with room to add some bigger tires (planning on some 295/75/16) and still fit into most public garages around here as well as the most important one, my home garage door opening.

Re: Lifts and garage and other clearance

I can fit into my home garage without difficulties...3 inch lift, gobi ranger, and 285 tires. But, I have pretty much accepted the fact that most parking garages are too fight of a fit for me to try.

Re: Lifts and garage and other clearance

3" OME lift, Gobi Ranger rack, 305/70-16 and I am at 83" at the tallest point of the roof rack. I fit into my garage (84" opening) with about an inch to spare. I did have to clearance the garage door bracket due to the fact that it hit the rack.

Re: Lifts and garage and other clearance

What we go through to make things fit under our ego lifts and setups.

Don't flame me. I'm just kidding about our ego lifts.
