Question Donahoe vs AllPro Help me out guys!

I've seen everyone go back and forth on Donahoe lift components vs Allpros components. Right now I'm leaning towards the AllPro set up front and rear because I think your getting more bang for your buck. Right now Front and Rear Allpro setup is about $1800 w/UCA's where as Donahoes full setup will run me around $2500 clams! But am i comparing apples to apples or missing something. I know the Donahoe UCA's are billet and look more involved but my biggest concern is the ride factor. My FJ is also my family rig on the weekends. That was one of my excuses for getting one. Anyway can anyone tell me how their Donahoe ride is under normal(street) conditions and can someone else tell me how their Allpro setup feels on the street? Unless by shear chance someone has experienced both. Thanks for the help ya'all and KEEP WHEELIN'!!!!

Re: Donahoe vs AllPro Help me out guys!

donahoe ride is the best ride I have had in any truck. Much better than stock,All I have are the coilovers, i have OME in the back but I would like to switch to the donahoe in the rear. Only problem is that I'm having trouble finding a place to buy them online

Want the real scoop..? Get a spacer lift , save a ton of money , and keep the factory ride. End of story.

Re: Donahoe vs AllPro Help me out guys!

I've got the Donahoe front end (coil-overs and UCA's) and rear shocks (with ToyTec springs) and I'd do it again in a heartbeat, cost be damned. The ride is light-years better than stock. As far as how it compares to the All Pro system, I wouldn't have a clue. You would probably be happy with either one, but that's just a wild-ass guess on my part.

WRONG!

Spacers SUCK A$$.

I had spacers, made the 'factory ride' VERY stiff and harsh....it was ANYTHING but a factory ride after that day.

Replaced it with a Skyjacker adjustable coilover lift, and the difference is NIGHT And DAY....I had my spacer crap on for months, so I dont rememeber how is was stock, but right now...it rides VERY soft and cushy. I have not got them offroad yet, but I do believe its softer then stock with the new coilovers...and keep in mind, I do have a winch and winch bumper up front.

Re: Donahoe vs AllPro Help me out guys!

Get the All Pro set up
you do not live anywhere near where you can wheel on the terrain that the Donahoes excel at. Any terrain you have up there the All Pro will work better at.
Buying the Hoes will be a exersize in seeing how much you value bling factor.

Re: Donahoe vs AllPro Help me out guys!

If you want to go with the DR's, and don't want to drop $2500, just get it without the UCA's. That way you save $1000 on the UCA's and the cost(time) of installing them and can add them later if you get a thousand dollars that you just can't find any other place to spend.
