Any one else noticed their swaybar hitting the spring perch on the OME lift when off road? I thought it was the rollers in my fairlead clanking, but my spotter said I had a suspension noise. When we looked, we saw the bar is coming in contact w/ the cup and rubbing the paint off right in front. The spring perch is in the correct position, Cup up, but all you have to do is smack it w/ your hand and you can hear it hit.
I have had a noise once or twice but cannot reproduce it on demand. I don't know enough about suspension parts to identify the location you are mentioning.
Thanks,

Are you talking about the cup that slips over the strut and supports the bottom of the spring?
If the spring is not seated down in the cup, it was assembled improperly and is binding somehow on top.
The spring should have more than enough tension to sit in the cup... a more common symptom of improper installation would be the spring seated off-center of the cup, resulting in the spring looking 'bent'.
The tolerance is very slim, however when the spring and lower coil bucket are oriented and seated properly there should be no binding. The end of the lowest coil should be pointing toward the rear of the vehicle.
Thanks guys. Upon closer examination, it seems that my springs are not seated properly. They have a slight arc and appear to be rubbing on the black boots on the top. Any way to cheat them back in w/o having to r/r the suspension? The bottom coil is up against the stop, so with the weight off the wheels I'm thinking I might be able to coax them in w/ a pry bar and copious amts. of WD-40.
I'm having the same issue and upon inspection it appears that my coils are seated with the end of the coil at the front of the truck. It's my understanding that once my coils are turned 180 degrees my binding issues should subside. Is my understanding correct? Anyone?

Cannot say. After my install, we did not position them correctly, I took it wheeling and did not have any problems with them. Nor did the other 4 guys with the same lift, and non of us "clocked" them correctly.
Hmm....I suppose its possible that the sound is coming from somewhere else. The sway bar is less than 1/2 inch from the bottom of the coil on the drivers side though.
