I thought I had my heart set on the pro comp 5.5" lift, but then Fabtech released the 6" lift. I know very little about either lift, so I'm looking for help. Anyone who knows anything about either kit, please let me know what you think.
*Note* I am aware of the disadvantages of high lifts. Let's avoid that discussion. I'd like to keep this peaceful and informative Thank you!
God, you scared me. I was about to throw in the towel on this whole forum thing.
Just an FYI, I did do a search and I found a bunch of stuff that briefly mentioned these two lifts, but then quickly transformed into an explosive argument. All I want this to be about is a comparison between two lift kits. Not a discussion on the pros and cons of high lifts. Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the insight of those of you who know your stuff.

Reason: I'm bad at typing ;)
There isn't a whole lot of information on any of the 6" lifts right now, but keep this thread bumping up to the top so that when the info comes out it can come out here...
I spoke with Rough Country on Friday and I was told that there kit would be out by the 1st of the New Year, but they wouldn't give me any pricing details, not even a ballpark number. They also said that there was no cutting involved with their 6" set up, which I am somewhat skeptical of. I remember back when Pro Comp was coming out with their 5.5" kit for the new Tacomas, and before they released it they told everyone there was no cutting of the crossmember, and then when it came out, you had to cut the corssmember. I've never seen a 6" drop bracket that didn't have to cut the crossmember, so we'll see. Either way teh Rough Country kit looks very nice. I usually don't even consider 6" kits due to their characteristics, but after seeing the Rough Country video and photos, and assuming the price is right, I may go with their set up instead of a 3".
