Re: Cool new Donahoe Jounce Shocks - pics

Howdy Guys, The shark is a 6-1/2" hammerhead that now overlooks my bed. My fiance hates it. It makes me feel safe. Caught it off Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago now. I had a bigger one on but he broke off at the stern. Any way there MR. AIR I don't know how your FJ sits correctly with the coilovers set evenly. You however are fortunate enough to be able to pay friendly visits to Donahoe and Dimello where as all I have over here on the East Coast is Beavis and Butthead. I just brought my FJ to the local Chevy dealership to have them try to dial my alignment in a little better. It's not bad but now the caster is out. I just don't know why it's such a PITA to dial these things in with the Donahoe UCA's. Keep us all posted on your adventures and PM me your name so I don't have to call you MR. AIR. Until next time kids........

The rear jounce shocks replace the rubber bumpstops and is 100% bolt-on. The front jounce shocks (light racing or donahoes) require cutting the bumpstop brackets and drilling to install. The LR lists for ~$1400 for front/rear set IIRC. Got the FJ back from the shop yet?

Re: Cool new Donahoe Jounce Shocks - pics

Yeah got it back from Demello's the next morning. Any of you guys in Cali need installs, in 5 hours of labor Jason's crew installed:

1. Demello skids
2. Demello sliders
3. Jounce shocks (first install ever)
4. All-around suspension adjustment
5. Replaced right rear coilover

Go to Demello Offroad if you want it done right!

I thought you didn't have the 4-link yet? Did you really mean a coilover in the rear??

Re: Cool new Donahoe Jounce Shocks - pics

Alright guys set me straight. Wouldn't anybody who is hitting jumps or bombing enough to need these end up having major problems with their body mounts after a while? Maybe I'm in left field with this one.....
