Thanks, Garsgrl. Yeah . . . . it really makes you wonder why it doesn't come from the factory that way. Or at least offered as a point-of-sale option.
Looks great Steve.

Right Toyota here in Scottsdale always has 2-3 on the lot with the ARB/OME lifts... of course I never checked to see what they were charging...

LCSteve looking good!!
I too like the mudflaps gone! I bet it helps with tailgators...helps their windshields match ours!

LandCruiserSteve:

First off, the lift (and rig) look great! I was wondering how you removed the mud flaps. Was it a pain in the ass? Like that look!

Re: OME before & after pics

I cut off the mounts when I did my lift and the flaps are only like 5 bolts each. K

Thanks, Mitch.

Brunswick Toyota also has a couple of ARB/OME rigs on the lot. They tricked them out with a bunch of other goodies (both functional as well as pure bling). $5-6k has been added to the sticker price.

Like kiskat23 said, pretty easy. A 10mm socket and 10 minutes of your time, and they're all off.

After removing them, there will be a couple of tiny sections of your FJ's body color exposed inside the rear wheel wells. If you're as picky as me, just rough them up a bit, shoot them with some flat black spray paint and they'll disappear.

You're welcome, fatbrat40.

It was a combination of favorable testimonials on this forum and nothing but positive experience that I've had with Old Man Emu suspension products on some of my past FJ40s that sold me on this particular lift kit.

Re: OME before & after pics

Love it. I've got the same set-up and I couldn't be happier.
