Mud flaps: Previously removed.
OME "Heavy" kit: 886 / 896 with 5mm trim-packer.
Kit purchased: Toyota of Dallas ($780 shipped).
Kit installed: Brunswick Toyota ($280 installed w/ free alignment).
Total cost: $1060

Measurements
Before and after measurements (ground to bottom of fender flares), followed by net height difference after lift:
Left front - 34 3/4"
> 38 3/4" = 4"
Right front - 35 1/8"
> 38 3/4" = 3 5/8"
Left rear - 36 3/4"
> 39 1/2" = 2 3/4"
Right rear - 37 1/8"
> 39 3/4" = 2 5/8"
Front bumper (ground to bottom of black plastic molding) - 27 3/4"
> 33 1/4" = 5 1/2"
Rear bumper (ground to bottom of black plastic molding) - 23 1/4"
> 26 1/8" = 2 7/8"
Prior to lift, there was a noticeable (and typical) left side lean. The trim-packer must've done its job . . . . it sits
very level now.
Obviously, the post-lift measurements show an increase of about 3 1/2" - 4" in the front and over 2 1/2" in the rear. However, I'm guessing this will eventually settle down to the advertised 3" in front and 2" in the rear.
An upcoming Warn winch bumper plus an 8k winch will likely speed up the settling process. And a soon-to-be-completed full-length rear cargo storage system should make the 896 rear coils earn their keep.
Overall impressions of the ride after the lift was installed? It might be my imagination, but I feel slightly better on-road handling characteristics and what appears to be a more stable platform overall. More precise turning and slightly less sway and lean while cornering at speed.
No more worries about the taller / fatter tires hitting the front body mounts. They don't even come close. (I'll post some additional pics of that later.)
Yep, it's definitely a stiffer ride. But, one that I'm more accustomed to in a 4x4 rig. But, taking a speed bump ain't the cushy little ka-blump it used to be. The only real complaint that I have so far, was climbing into it for the first time after it was lifted and smacking the sh#t out of my knee on the rock rail.
Otherwise, I'm
very pleased.
Thank you Jacque at TOD for all your help and thank you Brunswick Toyota for a great install and excellent price.
