Re: OME before & after pics

The Warranty question has come up many times. The easiest answer to this is Anything you do to your vehicle that can be directly linked to or cause anything to break, malfuntion, etc... will indeed void the warranty. Just because a Toyota Dealership does the install does not make it a Toyota part or a Dealership responsibility. Having said that the OME parts are warrantied by ARB against manufactured defects and at our Dealership if the component fails (breaks) we stand behind both Parts & Labor the same as the vehicle warranty. Do asearch for morew on Warranty questions. There is a lot of information out there about it and remember not all Toyota Dealerships are fans of modifying vehicles.

Im assuming have the OEM lift done doesnt void your warranty does it, since its a toyota mod and done by them...correct?
Technically, any aftermarket modification could void your warranty (regardless of who installed it), if it can be proven that the modification had a direct affect on some OEM component going bad.

However, having a Toyota dealership doing the actual installation lessens the likelihood of that particular excuse being used by the dealership.

I specifically requested a secondary warranty from the dealerhsip to cover the installation itself, in the event the OME system was installed incorrectly and caused some other damage to the vehicle.

Re: OME before & after pics

All I can say is I really like the look after the install!

Good job, threads like these are very useful to newbies like me and others who are pondering the idea of lift kits and all.

Thanks again for sharing.

Re: OME before & after pics

keep in mind with warranty claims its a case of innocent until proven guilty. that is, they have to be able to prove that the non-OEM component is what caused the failure. if say for example, you put a lift on your truck, and the next day you grind your rear diff to sawdust, anybody would be hard pressed to actually prove the lift caused failure.

Re: OME before & after pics

After reviewing the specifications for the OME Springs. 885 vs 895 there is a difference in length. If a stock bumper was used, do you guys think that there is a difference in height? I am going to use the 885's because I am not going to put a bumper on. The dealership rig is 886 with ARB bumper. It is clearing 305/65/17 with no chop. I want to run the same tires and I want to know if the 885 should clear the same tires as the 886's?????????????????????????????????????

I am going to run these tires the only difference is the 886 to 885's hopefully everthing works out

Re: OME before & after pics

I plan on getting the ARB bumper and warn winch with the 886 up front. I plan on keeping the stock rear bumper for now, but plan on upgrading to an aftermarket one in the future. Don't really plan on towing anything. Is it worth getting the 896 in the rear, or will I be ok with the 895 in the rear and the aftermarket bumper in the future? Thanks
