So does the Daystar 2.5" / 1.5" kit just suck? Why is it so cheap? Will it work if you're just trying to get space to get bigger tires? What disadvantages are there to use it?

The old "You get what you pay for" addage applies to this one. It's a spacer lift. Polyurethane spacers and some nuts and blots.
