What's this I hear about 'new' DR struts?

I have looked and searched for a while, is there a post about a new design of the DR suspension setup? What changed? Is there some info somewhere? I looked several places and searched through this section of the forum, but I can't find any info.

Also, there is no press release on DR's website.

Anyone?

I read somewhere on here that there is a "newer" version that is longer than the original, but there were no details. I'd also like to understand what changed and when.

It's just a little longer than the older ones.

Good. This is long overdue, if you ask me. DR's were lacking the one thing I wanted out of a lift kit....leveling. I sure hope that being longer they level out the truck a little better.

Any other info is appreciated!

With aftermarket UCA's you now get 3.5" of lift Check out my thread "Shadows Body Mount Chop". I think I talk about it around post #8

I saw that post, which made me ask this question in this post

Do they ride different than the originals? How do you like them? What were the 'problems' with fitment?

I have been leaning toward DR's for a while while I save money, and this would sure make me lean alot more towards DR's. I just liked the adjustability factor of others, but I think I would prefer the DR's.

I love them, I'm only running about 2" of lift right now, my Camburg UCA's will be here mid next week, then once their installed, I'll crank it up to the full 3.5" It took all the body sway that you get when cornering, it rides great. I too was leaning towards the Adjustable All-Pro, but I'm very glad I went with the DR's, I hope this helps

I'm not too sure cranking them up that high is gonna be good for the angles on the CV joints. I thought 3" is the max before the angles at the CV joints become too much.
