NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

Link to photos:
All Pro Fox shox

Bittersweet ongoing experience so far.
The good:
The ride is fantastic as promised. I like the ability to go up to 3.5" in the front. The look is great.
The bad:
Kit shipped without instructions. (I'm not alone with this one) Install was tough "winging it". Adjusting the coilovers is a real PITA especially drivers side. Anyone have any ideas how this can be done easier? I can't get the spanner wrench behind and around the ring due to the shock tunnel around it. When I finally get a bite, I can only turn it a quarter turn before I hit the UCA.
The curious:
Why did the kit downgrade to cheap clamps for the rear reservoir instead of the anodized blue mounting rings as shown on the website and other customer's rigs?

Overall, I'm pleased but I'm still missing many kit parts so I'll keep you all updated. Hopefully, they'll arrive this Monday.

Oh yeah there's a picture of the newly installed Demello skidplate on my site too!
What do you guys think?
Here's a comparison:

Awesome FJ! Thanks for posting on the All-Pro Fox lift. I have been thinking of getting this lift, but no instructions? Thanks for sharing Greg.

Re: NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

Greg I just ordered the same setup! I have to wait until middle of next week to have them shipped, as well as the new ultimate sway bar links! How's the ride so far? Did you go with the new A arms?

Wow! That is a sweet looking ride! Did you paint the silver on the bumpers too? I like the look with those big knobbies too!

Good job!

Re: NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

Mine came with instructions, but the tube off the shock was pointing the wrong way. Ive had them about a month and they are doing ok. Haven't found a favorite setting number setting yet.

Re: NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

Fox pre packs the rear shocks and you should have gotten the aluminum clamps, I'll make sure you get a set at no charge. Although we usually include instructions with the kit, I know our warehouse guy was rushing to make sure yours went out the same day those arrived into us. If you are ever missing instructions on our parts, we have them on our website for easy reference and download - just go to our site and click on Tech at the top tool bar. Glad you are enjoying the ride, I'll get your clamps on the way!

Re: NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

The ride is really nice! I highly recommend this kit to anyone who is looking for the ultimate in quality and ride comfort. My neighbor has the Donahoes and he said the Fox kit was awesome looking. He especially noticed the difference in the rear shocks and the shafts for both shocks are much beefier.

Chats, can you scan your instructions? Terry at All Pro said he wasn't aware of any instructions for the kit. I'd like to have them for reference if possible. Thanks

Re: NEW All Pro w/Fox front and rears installed!

Message from my husband (Piper) His account doesn't work and Admins won't fix it

I just installed my fronts (still waiting on the rears to arrive) I must absolutely agree with this post 110%. To be blunt, the instructions are CR@P! First, off I did not receive any instructions other than the Fox Factory maintenance sheet. I received the shox in the mail and had to return them so I drove down to All-Pro, thanks to Terry for setting a replacement pair aside for me. When I asked someone at All Pro for instructions, they turned and went to an empty box on the wall where they should be, never the less, I was instructed to use the GENERIC instructions on the website. Second, Generic instructions write-up do not coincide with the pictures, I never saw any reference to their being a left or right side bracket, shock, what side of the vehicle was in the pictures, (looks like they traded off from left to right side in the pictures so I was never really sure), not to mention the shocks were WE and not Fox I think. I could go on...

In summary: If you are going to install these yourself and you have all the tools ready, I would estimate about 1.5 hours maybe less. Mine took me 4.5 hours as I was trying to figure things out from the bad instructions on All Pro website and the many pics of other users rigs here on this site.

My notes:
* Do remove both tires and undo the swaybar so you can swing it all the way up (above the UCA's). All-Pro mentions you may have to remove the sway bar.

* The shock brackets are installed with the bigger gap towards the front of the vehicle.

*The shock is installed so the 90 degree fitting angles down and to the front of the vehicle. (Look at the shocks, there is a left and right though not noted)

*The adjusters on the reservoirs are towards the rear of the vehicle.

If the above notes are followed, they will install very easily and the hoses will not interfere with the UCA's.

I think even if they kept the same CR@PPY instructions but just noted these items, it would have gained hours of beer drinking time that went wasted on stopping to think about how it was supposed to work.

I love the product, it's well built by both Fox and All-Pro but the lack of instructions made this a very frustrating mod.

The above text is My Opinion and I reserve the right for you to interpret it as I see fit. There is no need to flame, I have mechanic experience, I'm a pretty fart smeller, that's why I was able to figure it out. I'm just sayin' it could have gone A LOT smoother.

-Steven
