Lift + roof rack = fit in garage?

I'm wanting to lift now and I believe my garage is 6 feet 9 inches tall. I am willing to go with a Gobi Stealth rack and even an airbag setup in the rear to lower it so it will fit in the garage. Is this possible going with 33s?

Re: Lift + roof rack = fit in garage?

I have 3 inch lift and 35s and I barely fit in my garage at 82" or 83". Not sure if that helps. Also if your garage door does not open all the way up you can adjust that too.

Re: Lift + roof rack = fit in garage?

I have donahoes all around and the Gobi Stealth. My parking garage is 6'8". I hit the sign with the height requirement on it but can squeeze in the actual garage. Hope this helps. Just have someone watch you the first time.

An airbag system will not allow you to lower the rear of the vehicle below stock - just raise it or maintain height under a load. An air suspension would allow for height adjustment up and down, but would destroy the purpose of the FJCs rear suspension system, and be useless for off-road driving. Why sacrifice the vehicle for the garage ? I park mine outside, and do whatever
I want to it....

Re: Lift + roof rack = fit in garage?

most standard garages are 7' minus an 1inch or so for door hang. I have allpro lift, and 33's and have about an inch to spare.
