OEM Jack still high enough after the 3in lift?

Sorry for all the questions, and don't know if it belongs on this subforum, if not mod please move it. Thanks.

After the 3in lift, are our OEM jacks still sufficient or do i need to get a high jack?

Re: OEM Jack still high enough after the 3in lift?

The OEM jack is used on the axle or lower control arm and is not greatly affected by a lift. Taller tires will raise the axle higher off the ground. 33" tires will raise the axle 1/2", 34" tires will raise the axle 1", 35" tires - 1-1/2", and so on. The OEM jack should have no problems with these on a flat surface like a driveway or street. A Hi-Lift jack is useful on uneven surfaces where you are jacking from the frame, bumpers or wheels using special attachements. The OEM jack will be useful around town, not so much offroad.

X2. Plus, I made a point of verifying my OEM jack's effectiveness right after I upgraded to 285/70R/17's (just to be sure), and the slight difference in tire radius had little effect on the jack's height.
